About the Horizon Wellness Center at Lansdown Place
The Wellness Center at Lansdown Place is the first Project LINK site is the first of its kind in Central Virginia. At this location, intensive case management and home visiting services are provided to pregnant and parenting women and their families who are “at risk” or are diagnosed with a substance use disorder.
What is Project LINK?
The overarching goal of the Project LINK program is the establishment of a coordinated system of care for women who use substances. Participants are also linked to substance use treatment, child care, mental health, medical and other social services available in the community. Services provided by or coordinated through Project LINK include substance abuse prevention and treatment, family planning, prenatal care, well-baby care, general health care, developmental screening, assessment and intervention, family services, child protective services, foster care, parenting education, and public education. Both adults and children are offered individualized service options and specializations to meet their unique behavioral health needs. At this location, individuals have access to both in-person and telehealth care.
