About Alva Harold
AJ Harold is a Licensed Professional Counselor and has worked for Horizon for over ten years. He received his Master’s in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in May of 2014 and became Licensed in February 2017. His primary clinical focus has been in crisis counseling and stabilization with training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Crisis Intervention. He has served in a variety of roles at Horizon including providing direct services to clients both as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP-C) and Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP). He has also served in multiple supervisory roles as a Clinical Coordinator, Program Manager, and Program Director. Currently he is serving as the Senior Portfolio Director overseeing Admissions, Crisis Services, Emergency Services, Forensics, Permanent Supportive Housing, and Women’s Recovery Programs.
